Together with the editors of the Company Dime, BMTTE will offer educational seminars, key-note sessions, networking functions, and plenty of buyer-vendor opportunities. Business Meetings, Travel & Technology Expo is proud to partner with veteran business travel reporters and co-founders of The Company Dime, Jay Campbell and David Jonas, for the inaugural BMTTE conference.  Jay and David have over 40 years in combined experience creating quality journalism for those interested in business travel services, expense management practices and travel industry change.

Join us at BMTTE in NYC’s Jacob Javits Center this September 22 – 23 as Jay and David plan to bring a unique approach to this year’s conference program; select topics, format and speakers will be designed to engage the BMTTE audience of meeting and travel professionals from beginning to end.

Jay Campbell in 2004 created a travel business newsletter The Beat, in 2006 co-founded the Travel procurement magazine and in 2010 integrated them into Northstar Travel media’s BTN Group. He served as editorial director until 2013. Jay made his travel industry media debut in 1993 at the Air Travel Journal of Boston while earning his undergraduate degree in journalism at Boston University.

 David Jonas in 2006 co-founded ProMedia. Travel with Jay and other partners after ten years as a journalist with Business Travel News. David rejoined BTN in 2010 as executive editor when its parent company acquired ProMedia, and joined Jay in 2014 to create The Company Dime. David has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Cornell University.

Kurt Ekert, newly appointed CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), will be the 2016 Meetings Technology Expo keynote presenter. Kurt most recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer of Travelport. During his five plus years in that role, the business transformed its product offerings and value propositions in all key channels and delivered consistent growth, highlighted by a successful IPO. Kurt also previously spent nine years at Travelport in a number of other executive roles, including Chief Operating Officer of European-based GTA. His experience prior to that includes six years at Continental Airlines.

MTE Keynote Luncheon Speaker – Cyber Security & Personal Safety for Corporate Travelers & Meeting Attendees

Steven Rambam is one of the world’s foremost death claims investigators and CEO of Pallorium, Inc. with offices and affiliates around the world, with specialties ranging from homicide and missing persons to financial and insurance fraud. He is perhaps best publicly known for his pro bono efforts to track and locate 170 Nazi collaborators and war criminals in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia. Outside of that, Rambam has also coordinated efforts to expose terrorist groups’ fundraising activities in the United States and has conducted investigations which resulted in the tightening of airport security in eight U.S. cities.
